A BIG SIGH OUT

Restful mini retreat t for mothers @ Bind Yoga, Tottenham.

Saturday 18 May, 4pm-6pm

Uninterrupted deep rest

There’s more to resting than just feeling less tired. Rest is a portal to deep relaxation, enhanced creativity, clarity and connection to self – all things that so easily become clouded by day-to-day mothering.

This 2hr mini retreat is an invitation to take a break from the holding and be guided through tension relieving embodied movement and supported rest.

How does restorative yoga work?

In restorative yoga props like blankets and bolsters are used to support the body in comfortable positions for several minutes at a time.

When the body is relaxed the nervous system can regulate. We move out of our stress response and into the soothing ground of our rest and digest response.

In rest and digest we can recover, resource and emerge feeling a sense of renewed calm and clarity.

The world and our place in it looks very different when we are rested.

What to expect?

A 2hr big bodily sigh out.

Think of it as a soothing Saturday mini retreat for your body and brain.

Who is it for?

Mothers who want to rest.

If you often feel like you’re chasing your tail and can’t quite catch your breath, this is for you.

If your brain feels full and ideas don’t come freely, this is for you.

If you’re craving more uninterrupted time for yourself to do something nourishing, this is for you.

If modelling rest and self-care to your children is important to you, this is for you.

Lots of us grow up without any reference for a rested mother. The society we live in doesn’t support mothers to rest. This is a space to embody the essence of a rested mother and be held for a change.

The session is postnatal friendly from 8 weeks postpartum and beyond.

No previous yoga experience required.
